Approximately 30 robots were positioned outside the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs on Monday to advocate for enhanced regulation regarding automation and artificial intelligence. The organizers of this demonstration emphasized the necessity for a broader societal discussion concerning how emerging technologies might affect the future of the workforce. Krzysztof Gawkowski, the Minister of Digital Affairs, engaged with the participants and noted that his ministry is currently developing relevant legislative frameworks. Despite this, representatives for the protest argued that the proposals presently under consideration by the Polish parliament fail to provide adequate safeguards for employees. The event served as a public call for policymakers to address the potential risks that rapid technological advancement poses to labor market stability.
