Russian military forces conducted a series of attacks against the Zhytomyr region between the evening of September 29 and the following morning. According to Vitalii Bunechko, the head of the regional military administration, seven distinct sites were impacted across the Korosten, Zviahel, and Zhytomyr communities. The strikes targeted energy infrastructure and food production facilities, resulting in significant material damage. Additionally, four vehicles were destroyed during the bombardment. Emergency response teams and specialized technical units have been deployed to the affected locations to manage the aftermath and conduct necessary repairs. This incident follows a previous wave of approximately ten strikes reported in the same region between September 28 and 29, which also focused on civilian infrastructure.
