For the first time in approximately three and a half decades, Germany is no longer Poland's leading supplier of imported goods. According to recent statistics released by the National Bank of Poland, China claimed the top position during July 2026. This transition follows a notable rise in the volume of Chinese products entering the Polish market, particularly regarding automotive vehicles and computer equipment. Conversely, the value of imports originating from Germany experienced a downturn during the same period. This development marks a significant shift in Poland's trade dynamics, ending a long-standing trend where the German economy consistently served as the primary source for foreign goods.
