The M1 motorway, which serves as a vital link between the capital and the borders of Austria and Slovakia, saw a notable incident near Tatabánya. Furthermore, traffic flow was severely hindered on the M0 orbital road and the M7 motorway. These disruptions were not limited to major highways, as several accidents were also reported within the city limits of Budapest and various regional urban centers. Authorities have noted that these incidents occurred as weekend travel volume began to increase, complicating road conditions for commuters and travelers throughout the country.
