The Polish government has officially updated its national nuclear strategy for the first time since 2020. According to the revised document, the launch of the nation's inaugural nuclear power station is now scheduled for 2036, representing a three-year postponement from the original timeline. Furthermore, the second facility is expected to begin operations in 2040, marking a one-year delay. These adjustments were largely expected, as the project had already fallen behind the targets established by the previous administration. Despite these setbacks, current officials maintain that nuclear energy remains a central component of the country's long-term plan to diversify its energy portfolio and transition toward a more sustainable power mix.
