Bedirhan Yildirim, a Turkish software developer residing in Warsaw, has utilized artificial intelligence and extensive public datasets to construct a detailed digital twin of the Polish capital. This interactive 3D map, accessible to the public online, incorporates nearly 200,000 individual structures. The simulation features dynamic elements such as trams operating according to actual transit timetables, realistic weather patterns, and over 45,000 streetlights that activate during nighttime hours. Users are also provided with the capability to navigate the virtual environment from an aerial perspective. Yildirim drew inspiration for this technical endeavor from similar digital mapping initiatives previously conducted for major global cities like London and New York. The project serves as a sophisticated digital representation of the urban landscape, reflecting the engineer's commitment to mapping his adopted home.
