Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has declared that the Visegrád Group, which includes Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, intends to oppose European Union climate initiatives that threaten to drive up energy prices. Following a summit with leaders from these nations, Tusk emphasized that the bloc cannot support measures that undermine regional economic competitiveness. He specifically noted that these countries are already struggling with elevated electricity expenses. Consequently, the V4 coalition plans to block any proposals from European institutions or other member states that would exacerbate these financial burdens on their industries and citizens.
