The European Parliament has voted to revoke the legal immunity of Polish far-right politician Grzegorz Braun. This decision enables Polish authorities to prosecute him for allegedly denying Nazi crimes, a criminal offense that could result in a prison term of up to three years. This marks the sixth instance of Braun losing his parliamentary protection and the second time specifically related to Holocaust denial allegations. Beyond this case, the politician is currently involved in other legal proceedings in Poland, including a trial concerning his disruption of a Jewish religious ceremony held within the national parliament building. Braun remains subject to multiple ongoing investigations as the legal process in his home country continues to move forward.
