Karl Bushby, a former member of the military, has concluded a massive 28-year journey that began in Hull in 1998. Throughout his expedition, he traversed the Americas, Asia, and Europe on foot, covering a total distance of 36,000 miles. His journey was marked by numerous life-threatening challenges, including encounters with kidnappers, extreme environmental hazards like polar bears, and severe risks of dehydration or drowning. Upon reaching Dover, Bushby celebrated his return to British soil by enjoying a traditional meal of fish and chips, reflecting on the unique qualities of his home country after nearly three decades abroad. This long-term endeavor, known as the Goliath Expedition, has finally brought the adventurer back to the United Kingdom after his extensive travels across multiple continents.
