Dr. Joe McAndrew-Lima has committed to the Irish Medical Council to cease all medical activities while an investigation into his online service, Cloud Clinic, remains ongoing. This voluntary undertaking allows for the resolution of regulatory concerns without a formal suspension. The clinic, which previously faced allegations of administrative chaos and significant delays in patient care, is no longer operational. Patients reported difficulties in obtaining prescriptions and concerns regarding the monitoring of stimulant medications. As part of the agreement, the doctor must ensure that patient records are promptly transferred to other medical professionals upon request. The Medical Council has advised former clients of the service to consult their general practitioners for continued ADHD treatment. The duration of the current complaints process remains uncertain, and the doctor is prohibited from providing advice, treating individuals, or issuing prescriptions until the council releases him from this commitment.
