A recent survey conducted by IBRiS for Radio ZET reveals that nearly 78% of Polish respondents support providing aid to Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in the event of a Russian military invasion. Only 16.1% of those polled expressed opposition to such intervention. This public sentiment emerges following a political debate sparked by former defense minister Mariusz Błaszczak. The opposition politician had previously declined to explicitly confirm whether Poland should uphold its NATO commitments to defend the Baltic states if they were attacked. The poll highlights a clear consensus among the Polish population regarding regional security and the importance of collective defense obligations within the alliance.
