The Swedish government has confirmed plans to station Patriot air defence units in Poland before the end of the year. This deployment will involve approximately 100 military personnel tasked with securing the logistics centre located in Rzeszów. This facility serves as a critical gateway for international aid shipments destined for Ukraine. The initiative is part of a broader effort to bolster security along the eastern border of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Polish defence officials have welcomed the move, describing the Swedish contribution as a sign of a reliable and effective security partnership between the two nations. This deployment follows a series of recent collaborative measures aimed at deepening military cooperation between Warsaw and Stockholm.
