The Republican People's Party (CHP) in Turkey is launching a new oversight initiative to improve its reputation following recent corruption allegations involving local officials. Under the guidance of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the party will introduce a performance monitoring system starting next year. This framework will evaluate mayors on various metrics, including financial management, project execution, human resources, and public relations. Officials who fail to adhere to these transparency standards or who demonstrate poor performance will be excluded from future election nominations. The leadership intends to use this report card system to ensure accountability and promote clean politics within the organization. Additionally, the party is organizing a meeting for mayors to consolidate central authority and will host a legislative camp in Bolu to discuss upcoming parliamentary priorities and internal party developments.
