A recent study conducted by the UNHCR and the consulting firm Deloitte reveals that Ukrainian refugees contributed significantly to the Polish economy in 2025. Their presence resulted in a 2.4 percent increase in GDP, representing a value of approximately 94 billion zloty, or 21.5 billion euros. The research highlights that employment rates among these refugees have now exceeded those of the local Polish population. Despite this high level of labor market integration, the report concludes that there have been no adverse effects on the wages or job security of domestic workers. Experts suggest that this development marks a shift toward more profound economic inclusion and sustained participation in the workforce for those who fled the conflict in Ukraine.
