A trial has commenced in Warsaw involving four men accused of participating in a criminal network responsible for arson incidents across Poland and Lithuania. The defendants, consisting of three Ukrainian nationals and one Belarusian, are identified in court documents as Oleksandr H., Stepan K., Vitalii K., and Pavlo T. due to local privacy regulations. Legal proceedings are being conducted in private to maintain security. According to the prosecution, the group operated under the direction of Russian foreign intelligence services during April and May 2024. The charges against the men include involvement in organized sabotage and terrorist activities. These legal actions follow a series of fires that occurred in the region, which authorities claim were orchestrated as part of a broader campaign of foreign-backed disruption.
